A Jeep® Truck Fit for the Colosseum

Here at Mike Toler Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM, we know what to do when a driver comes in to our car dealership in Morehead City, NC looking for a truck. We offer a wide range of RAM vehicles that can suit any driver preferences, whether they need to go off-road, want to bask in luxury, or just want some extra cargo room. Now we're getting ready to offer one more truck option, but this one hails from Jeep.

We've talked about the Jeep Scrambler before, but now we know that it's officially being released as the Jeep Gladiator. It's based on the Jeep Wrangler you know and love, coming with similar doors, headlights, and a near-identical interior. Understandably, it boasts a new frame, and it's roughly 30 inches longer than the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

This new Jeep model is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 that puts out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is offered with either an automatic or a manual transmission. A turbo-diesel V6 engine is also in the works, with a set rollout date for 2020. Capability wise, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator features best-in-class ratings for both towing and payload: 7,650 lb and 1,600 lb, respectively.

Some of you have been following news of the Jeep pickup truck for a long time, and you may be wondering why the name has changed. The Jeep Scrambler was never an official name, just a placeholder until the actual name was released. The Jeep Gladiator is actually the same name of a concept truck that debuted way back in 2005.

To learn more about the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, contact our new RAM dealership serving Jacksonville, NC today! We can't wait to welcome this brand-new pickup truck to our already impressive fleet of trucks.
