Mike Toler has good news if you’re shopping for a new RAM truck. We may soon see a compact RAM truck in our showroom for the first time since the Dodge Dakota ended production. Called the RAM Rampage, it’s already a hit overseas, and we’re previewing some of the features we expect if it comes to the United States.

Is RAM Re-Entering a Competitive Segment?

The RAM Rampage is currently only available in Brazil. But there’s a lot to indicate that the RAM Rampage will soon make its way to American soil. Mentions were made in a press conference by the President of Stellantis South America, referencing how the RAM Rampage competes with other small trucks available in the U.S.

Another clue auto enthusiasts can look for is a symbol—an American flag tucked into the taillight on the RAM Rampage. While it’s currently only a rumor, many drivers here in the U.S. would love the chance to get behind the wheel of the RAM Rampage—including us!

Will the American Model Be Any Different Than the Overseas Model?

If the RAM Rampage did come to the American market, it would likely be a slightly different truck. The overseas model has a 2.0-liter diesel four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and is rated for up to 2,238 pounds of payload capability. The American version’s powertrain choices may align closer to what’s currently available in the Jeep Gladiator, but with styling and technology more typical of the RAM brand.

Test-Drive Available RAM Trucks at Mike Toler

The RAM Rampage is worth waiting for if you’re in the market for a compact truck. Of course, if you’d rather buy or lease something sooner, Mike Toler has several other RAM truck models in stock. Why not stop in to learn more or take a test drive today?
